…WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THIS MORNING TO 8 PM EST THIS EVENING…

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY HAS ISSUED A WIND ADVISORY…WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THIS MORNING TO 8 PM EST THIS EVENING.

* TIMING: BURSTS OF STRONG WIND ARE EXPECTED DURING FORENOON ANDTHEN AGAIN DURING MID OR LATE AFTERNOON. BOTH OF THESE WINDBURSTS ARE ASSOCIATED WITH TWO COLD FRONTAL PASSAGES THAT WILL OCCUR TODAY.

* WINDS: SCATTERED SUSTAINED NORTHWEST WINDS AROUND 30 MPH WITH ISOLATED GUSTS BETWEEN 45 AND 50 MPH.

* IMPACTS: HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES WILL BE MOST AFFECTED AND A FEW SMALL BRANCHES MAY BREAK.

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT SUSTAINED WINDS OF GREATER THAN 30 MPH ARE EXPECTED OR GUSTS GREATER THAN 45 MPH. WINDS THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT…ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. USE EXTRA CAUTION.
