THE FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

 

* PORTIONS OF NEW JERSEY AND PENNSYLVANIA…INCLUDING THE

  FOLLOWING AREAS…IN NEW JERSEY…HUNTERDON…MERCER…

  MIDDLESEX AND SOMERSET. IN PENNSYLVANIA…BERKS…BUCKS…

  CHESTER…DELAWARE…MONTGOMERY AND PHILADELPHIA.

 

* FROM SUNDAY MORNING THROUGH LATE SUNDAY NIGHT

 

* HEAVY RAIN COULD CAUSE FLOODING ACROSS THE AREA. STORM TOTAL

  AMOUNTS SHOULD AVERAGE ONE TO TWO INCHES WITH THE HEAVIEST

  RAIN OCCURRING SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING. AMOUNTS NEAR TWO

  INCHES WOULD CAUSE FLOODING.

 

* SIGNIFICANT RISES ARE EXPECTED ON THE DELAWARE AND SCHUYLKILL

  RIVERS…BUT AT THIS TIME FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED.

 

* ALTHOUGH THE HEAVIEST RAIN IS EXPECTED TO END SUNDAY EVENING…

  SOME RIVERS AND STREAMS MAY NOT CREST UNTIL MONDAY MORNING OR

  LATER. STAY INFORMED AFTER THE RAIN ENDS…AS THE FLOOD THREAT

  COULD BE DELAYED AND OCCUR AT A LATER TIME.

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING BASED ON CURRENT FORECASTS.

 

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE ALERT FOR POSSIBLE FLOOD WARNINGS. THOSE LIVING IN AREAS PRONE TO FLOODING SHOULD BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD FLOODING DEVELOP.
