More Heavy Rain On the Way

Emergency Managers,

Attached is a briefing package for the next rain event (Thursday), and the resultant flooding that’s
expected.

Basically moderate to major flooding can be expected with 2 to 4 inches of rain.  Record flooding is possible
where the heaviest rain happens to fall.

Additional note:  The lower portions of the Passaic River are still rising from Sunday’s rain, expected to crest tomorrow (Wednesday) in the major category in some locations.  All other rivers have crested and are falling at this time, but still at high levels.

Any tidal flooding that occurs with this next event is expected to be minor.
