Bergenfield NJ June 2010


June temperatures averaged 71.8°F ( 22.1°C ) in Bergenfield. This was 0.9°F ( 0.5°C ) above the long term mean. The past year has seen 8 months with temperatures at or above normal. A heat wave hit the region from the 7th through the 9th with temperatures peeking at 99°F ( 37.2°C ) on the 9th. The maximum of 97°F ( 36.1°C ) on the 8th set a new daily station record. Precipitation was a bit below normal. The 0.93″ ( 23.6mm ) that fell on the 11th established another daily record. Very heavy showers deposited several inches of rain just to the north of Bergenfield on the 23rd. We received only 0.70″ ( 17.8mm ).
